Meet the Dr. Osuji and Experience the Signature Orthopedics Difference
Signature Orthopedics in Mesquite, Texas, offers compassionate, down-to-earth care for every problem affecting the musculoskeletal system. Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Obi Osuji, MD, FAAOS, and his skilled team at Signature Orthopedics have created a welcoming environment where they focus on providing orthopedic care to people 12 and older. Signature Orthopedics does sometimes see children.
Patients seek the team’s expert care for the many causes of hip, knee, and shoulder pain. Whether patients have a mild sprain, a complex fracture, or a disease like osteoarthritis, their treatment begins with conservative treatment.
Dr. Osuji recommends minimally invasive surgery only when needed. When surgery is the next step, patients get exceptional care. He is an expert in surgical repair and reconstruction, including joint replacement surgery.
The team specializes in treating sports injuries and orthopedic trauma. Using today’s most advanced treatments, like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, the team promotes healing, eases pain, and helps patients regain strength and mobility.
Dr. Osuji received a degree in biochemistry, graduating summa cum laude (with highest honors) from the City University of New York in Midtown Manhattan. He received a medical degree from Stanford University in Stanford, California. He then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Howard University in Washington, DC. To further advance his training, he finished a fellowship in total joint reconstruction at the Prisma Health Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Greenville, South Carolina.
In addition to being a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopædic Surgeons (FAAOS), Dr. Osuji maintains membership in many professional organizations, including the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, and the J. Robert Gladden Orthopædic Society.
The Signature Orthopedics team believes in communicating with patients and supporting each person’s ability to participate in their own medical care. Call the office today or book an appointment online to learn more about their services.
